March 2012 ~ On Saturday 3rd. March 2012, in a collaborative project between the
eBA
Stats Team and the last six Academic Years graduates from the
eBA Basketball Statistics Courses, starts the whole year Basketball Statistics Clinic ONLINE.

Marzo 2012 ~ El Sábado 3 de Marzo, 2012, en un proyecto colaborativo entre el
Equipo eBA Stats
y los graduados de los Cursos de las Estadísticas del Baloncesto de los últimos seis Años Académicos, dará
comienzo una Clínica EN-LINEA de Estadísticas del Baloncesto de un año de duración.

January ~ February, 2012 ~ The eBA Basketball Statistics Annual Clinic, carried out with the graduates of the courses until 2010, has achieved its goal in the current semester and has completed the task of the eBA Basketball Statistics Book program. Over the next two months, January and February, eBA Annual Clinic will be at our traditional vacations, when half of the the participant enjoy their summer, while the rest stay "at home", next to the heater, ordering the next task ! Happy Holidays !

The Last eBA Basketball Statistics Course and its 12 full expositions is still open to our eBA FRM (Full Registered Members) (find it below in this middle column !).
Enero ~ Febrero, 2012 ~ La Clínica Anual eBA de las Estadísticas del Baloncesto, que se lleva a cabo con los egresados de los Cursos hasta el año 2010, ha logrado su objetivo en el corriente semestre y ha finalizado la tarea del programa de Libro eBA de las Estadísticas del Baloncesto. Durante los próximos dos meses, Enero y Febrero, la Clínica Anual eBA estará de vacaciones tradicionales, cuando la mitad de los participantes goza de su verano, mientras el resto se queda "en casa", junto al calefactor, ordenando las próximas tareas ! Felices Vacaciones !
Un informe de lo actuado durante este exitoso semestre, fue publicado en la Clínica eBA ~ Site News ( sobre la columna derecha, al tope ).

• Barracuda Networks may make good email filters, but their public relations and support leaves a lot to be desired. Our primary mailserver was repeatedly blacklisted by their appliances being rejected our legitimate emails - the Clinics documents and the professional discussions ! - during the Saturday's meetings and during the week, causing long interruptions and sometimes those meetings cancellation ! .

"...About Definitions:
Statistics is a mathematical science referring to gathering, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data. This have relevance into a broad assortment of academic disciplines from the physical and social sciences to the humanities, as well as to business, government, medicine and industry, and beginning with the fundamental role statistics plays in sports in general and Basketball in particular, which is our topic in this space.
Descriptive Statistics: Statistical methods - as the included in this exposition, 1st. & 2nd. part - can be used in Basketball to sum up or report a collection of data.
Inferential Statistics: Patterns in the data may be modeled, in a sense that accounts for randomness and uncertainty in the observations, to draw inferences about the process or population being studied.
Applied Statistics: Both descriptive and inferential statistics can be taken into account as part of applied statistics. The discipline of mathematical statistics is involved with the theoretical basis of the topic.
In its application in the sports area, the word statistics is also the plural of statistic (singular), which makes reference to the result of applying a statistical algorithm to a set of data. ..."
